Take Time to Relax

June 15th, 2009

When you get stressed, apart from messing up your hormone levels, you crumple your face into all sorts of shapes. This quickly leads you down the slippery slope to wrinkles, especially vertical lines on your brow and cheeks. In order to avoid this, try the old “counting to ten” trick. Force yourself to relax rather than just flying off the handle and this will lessen the amount of trauma you subject your facial skin to. Your daily skin care regime should also help you to relax. When you stress, you stop taking care of yourself, so make sure you develop the habit of caring for your skin every morning and evening. It gives you time to yourself to take care of your skin and also benefits your skin through the careful application of the appropriate products. Use scents that contain a relaxing fragrance such as lavender. You can even take the same scent into work with you, in the form of a hand lotion, perhaps, and take a minute to use it at various points during the day. The scent will help you to relax and your skin will be smooth and wrinkle free.
